Churches are seeing new growth through integrating Alpha into their outreach strategy. This new series of films highlights some of the growing church stories from around Scotland and how we can explore making the most of running Alpha in our own contexts.
#4 - TRANSFORMED
In the fourth short film in the series Stornoway minister Tommy MacNeil shares the story of transformation at Martin's Memorial, which has moved from threatened closure a few years ago to seeing nearly 500 attending and over 40% having been through Alpha.
#3 - VALUED
St Paul's & St George's Rector Dave Richards shares about their ministry in the heart of Edinburgh, and how Alpha fits into their strategy - helping a new generation to explore faith, being valued for who they are and becoming disciples of Jesus.
In this second film of the series, Keith Mack, minister of St John's and King's Park Church of Scotland in Dalkeith, shares how Alpha has formed part of the church's plan to reach out to the local community. Over the last 11 years the worshipping congregation has grown from 100 to 180 adults and young people regularly attending Sunday services (4 mins).
Senior pastor Iain Macaulay shares how Queen's Park Baptist in Glasgow have been developing their strategy and ministry over the last few years in order to see their vision to "call a city to life" become a reality.
